At the moment, whenever i draw or make a jpeg for use in flash, it has a white background in the shape of a square. I want to be able to import jpegs which will let me use them in flash without having a background. how should i make the jpegs?What program should I use to draw my symbols for use in Macromedia Flash 8?
Softwares that you will need::
%26gt;%26gt; Adobe Illustrator (or Macromedia, now Adobe Firework or Corel Draw - but I will advise you to stay away from Corel!!!). These softwares will help you drawvector graphics which could then be exported as .SWF files (under the menu bar, cick on File --%26gt;Export--%26gt;Flash). However if you don't want to save the vector editibility of the graphic you can do a ';save for web'; and save it as GIF, JPEG or PNG. The Same goes for Adobe Photoshop (or Macromedia, now Adobe Freehand) - you can use these to create your artwork and later on export it as GIF, JPG or PNG (the good thing about PNG is that saves files with Transperancy, i.e. if you have a artwork with a drop shadow, it will save the drop shadow with the transperancy, however you should decide on your own what images should be GIF/JPG or PNG, since that will make the file size smallerWhat program should I use to draw my symbols for use in Macromedia Flash 8?
You need to save your image using a format that lets you retain a transparent background. .png is a good one for use in flash.
Photoshop is a good program for making .png's, but there are others.
