What exactly are macromedia tools and how can they be applied in a classroom setting?

Macromedia tools= Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand. They are for web design. Macromedia longer makes those programs though, they now belong to Adobe. So when you say Macromedia, you are reffering to the older programs, 2004 and earlier I believe. They are for layout design, animation, slicing, all that fun stuff. I use them a lot.
