Convert them into symbols. Put them on separate layers. The image to be faded out should be on top. Add a key frame (F6) anywhere for the top layer. Add a frame (F5) below that key frame for the bottom layer. Make the alpha of the symbol in the key frame 0. Right click any frame before the key frame in the top layer and create motion tween. How do you get two images to fade into one another in macromedia flash?
this will depend on the time you want to fade the images, ok...
first, on your 1st image' timeline (1st layer also) make a keyframe from 1 to 20... create a motion tween... click on the 14th frame then click insert keyframe... on the 20th frame, look for the box that has tint, brightness, etc... in the bottom of your worksheet, choose tint... set it to the fade you want( maybe 0 or 5%)..
create a 2nd layer...put your 2nd image on the 14th frame on the 2nd layer make a keyframe from 14 to 34... create a motion tween... on the 20th frame click insert keyframe, back to the 14th frame look again for the box that has a tint now set the tint to the (0 or 5%) ...
the effect of this is... will show the first image then fades out simultaneous the 2nd image fades in...
hope this is what you want....
simple just try shape tweening
