How do you zoom in / Pan in on a scene in Macromedia Flash 8?

For example I have 2 people on the stage. How would I make it so that everything zooms in on one person for dramatic effect. Then make it pan across to the person next to him? Do I need to select everything on the stage and tween? Please tell me there's an easier wayHow do you zoom in / Pan in on a scene in Macromedia Flash 8?
Basically zoom and pan can be applied to movieclip symbol (and button, though it's rare). So all you have to do is to put all objects that you want in one movieclip. With actionscript (which is preffered than using timeline, zoom can be achieved by changing its scales (_xscale and _yscale), while you pan the movieclip by changing its position (_x or _y).

It's called V-cam. just search it and download. copy the movie clip into ur anims and just tween the cam, it's coded to show up on the screen what's inside the vcam. just make sure not to let the screen stretch by getting the vcam out of proportion.
