Are you making the button into a roll-over button? Meaning when the mouse cursor hits the button, the user see's a visual change in the button letting them know it's an active link... Save the Button file as button.jpg (for example), save another one with an oragne tint, name it button_down.jpg using div_tags or tables with out a border, select in Dreamweaver

Insert -%26gt; Image Objects -%26gt; Rollover.... set the up image and down image and the URL. Save to server..... it's sounds harder than it is to set up.How can i create a button in macromedia fireworks 8??
Two ways:

1. By using frames.

Create at least 3 frames in your button file for up, over and down state respectively.

When finish, export it with selecting ';Frames to files'; in ';Save as type'; drop-down list.

2. By using symbol.

Create your object (one is enough) and convert it to symbol by selecting ';Modify%26gt;Symbol%26gt;Convert to Symbol'; (or press F8). Select ';button'; in symbol properties. Then go to ';Modify%26gt;Symbol%26gt;Edit symbol'; to bring up edit symbol tab so that you can customize your button.
