Easier solution...open a program that requires it. Sometimes the best rout is the shortest and most idiot-proof. Hope this helps. How do I know if Macromedia Flash Player has been installed in my computer?
Go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/
If you think it's downloaded, check by clicking:

-start

-control panel

-add/remove programs

Scroll through and it will be labled Macromedia Flash Player (version #)
You logon to www.macromedia.com. And click on ';Download Flash Player'; link..otherwise..by default, it will install itself when the site not detect the flash player on your PC.

For the standalone Flash Player you will have to register and download from the site.
Go to this page and do the install - even if its already there, you will get the latest version. A test will be at the end.
If you are using windows.Press ';Control Panel'; on the ';Start Menu';(windows xp). Then go to ';Add or Remove Programs';.There is a list of programs there, look for Macromedia Flash Player.if its there that means it is installed.

If you dont have Xp.Go to my computer on your desktop.Press ';Control Panel';.Then go to ';Add or Remove Programs';.There is a list of programs there, look for Macromedia Flash Player.if its there that means it is installed.
You can find out if it IS installed by clicking on START,click on CONTROL PANEL, click on ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS, and wait for the list to populate. It should show up on that list, its all alphabetical.

Hope that helps!!!
