What is better for making a collage for my website, Macromedia Fireworks or Freehand?

Also, can you point me to some GOOD online tutorials on making collages in either of these apps?What is better for making a collage for my website, Macromedia Fireworks or Freehand?
I would suggest using Adobe software, either Photoshop or Illustrator.





If you cannot get a hold of a demo for this software, or can't afford to purchase the real deal, there are simmilar programs out there such as GIMP (open source) http://gimp.org that act like photoshop that you could give a shot.
